About PDFShrink Online

PDFShrink Online is an independent utility designed to make everyday PDF sharing easier. The goal is simple: give you a clear choice between document fidelity and file size, while keeping file processing on your own device.

What we believe

Useful tools should explain their trade-offs. We show real output sizes, avoid guaranteed compression claims, and retain the original when a generated version is larger.

How it is built

The compressor uses the open-source PDF.js and pdf-lib libraries, bundled with this site. Preserve mode rewrites a document using compressed object streams. Image mode renders each page locally and rebuilds the document with JPEG images.

Our limits

This is a general-purpose utility, not an archival, accessibility, legal-signature, or professional prepress service. Always review the output and keep your original.
