Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 November 2026.

Using the service

PDFShrink Online is a free, general-purpose PDF utility. Use it only for documents you own or have permission to process, and comply with applicable law.

Keep and check originals

You are responsible for keeping your original and checking the result. Compression may change structure, appearance, metadata, and document features. Image mode removes text layers, interactive elements, and accessibility information. Rewriting can invalidate digital signatures.

No guaranteed result

Compression ratios, compatibility, availability, and suitability for a particular purpose are not guaranteed. Some PDFs cannot be processed. The tool is provided as available, subject to any rights and protections required by applicable law.

Responsible use

Do not use the site to infringe rights, distribute unlawful content, disrupt the service, or attempt unauthorized access. Do not treat compression as secure redaction or verification of document authenticity.

Open-source components

PDF.js is distributed under the Apache License 2.0, and pdf-lib under the MIT License. Copies are included in the site’s vendor directory: PDF.js license and pdf-lib license.
